Coway USA, INC. (referred to as "Coway") respects the privacy needs and concerns of our customers. The Sites are intended for users from the United States and those not governed by privacy policies of other countries.  Information sent to us will be housed on servers located in the states of California, the United States. Through this Website, we will collect information that can identify you and/or your activity.

Do we sell any of your personal information?

Coway does NOT and will not sell your personal information, including the data of any minors. We do not sell or otherwise trade the personal information that we collect from our site visitors at any point or under any circumstance.

Coway does NOT and will not sell your personal information in exchange for money. However, we may share information with third party websites and social media platforms about visitors to this Website for purposes of targeting advertisements of our products and services to you when you visit other websites. Other than this sole exception, we do not and will not disclose your personal information to any third party in exchange for monetary or other valuable consideration. We do not at any point or under any circumstance sell or otherwise trade the personal information of any minors.

Use of cookies and other tracking technologies

Cookies are small files that a Website may transfer to a user’s computer that reside there for either the duration of the browsing session (session cookies) or on a permanent (until deleted) basis (persistent cookies) that may be used to identify a user, a user’s machine, or a user’s behavior.   2. Right to Access. The right to request, up to 2 times in a 12-month period, that we provide you access to or disclose to you, free of charge, the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in the last 12 months;

  3. Right to Delete. The right to request, up to 2 times in a 12-month period, that we delete personal information that we collected from you, subject to certain exceptions;

  4. Right to Opt-Out. The right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information to third parties; The right to designate an authorized agent to submit one of the above requests on your behalf; and

  5. The right to not be discriminated against in receiving different or less favorable pricing, service or financial incentive for exercising any of the above rights.

How we will verify that it is really you submitting the request

When you submit a Right to Know, Right to Access, or Right to Delete consumer request through one of the methods provided above, we will ask you to provide some information in order to verify your identity and respond to your request. Specifically, we will ask you to verify information that can be used to link your identity to particular records in our possession, which depends on the nature of your relationship and interaction with us. For example, if your sole interaction with us was as a website visitor, then in order to verify your identify, we will need to ask you to provide your name, email, phone number and address.

How to authorize an agent to act on your behalf

You can authorize someone else as an Authorized Agent who can submit a consumer request on your behalf. To do so, you must either (a) execute a valid, verifiable, and notarized Power of Attorney or (b) provide other written authorization that we can then verify. When we receive a consumer request submitted on your behalf by an Authorized Agent, that person will be asked to provide written proof that they have your permission to act on your behalf, and we will also contact you and ask you for information to verify your own identity directly with us and not through your Authorized Agent.

Responding to your Right to Know, Right to Access, and Right to Delete requests

Generally, we endeavor to respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt. If we require more time (up to 45 days or 90 days total from the date we receive your request), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. We will deliver our written response by mail or electronically, at your option. Any disclosures we provide will only cover the 12-month period preceding our receipt of your verifiable consumer request. The response we provide will also explain the reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable. We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request. For the customer’s name, address, and telephone number only, Coway will delete such information within one hundred eighty (180) days of its receipt of the customer’s request to delete, to use for internal purposes only to verify new customers from existing customers for determining salespersons’ performance and commissions.

Children under the age of 16

Our Website is not intended for children under 16 years of age. No one under age 16 may provide any personal information on the Website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are under 16, do not use or provide any information on this Website. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 16 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. When you purchase products our Stores, you can do so anonymously when you pay with cash. If you use a credit or debit card for any of your purchases, we will collect your credit or debit card information and keep a history of your purchases. We use this information to process your orders and to better assist you when you visit or call us. 

When you return previously purchased merchandise or request a refund or exchange, you may be asked to give your name, address, phone number and show information that identifies you, such as your driver's license. We collect this information to help prevent fraud.

Call Centers

When you call one of our Call Centers about a product, delivery, billing question or for customer service, you may be asked for Personal Information that identifies you along with additional information we need to help us promptly answer your question, such as your name and address and a phone number where we might contact you. We may retain this information to assist you in the future.

Site Registration

Registration is an optional service provided by our Sites. You do not have to register to browse on our Sites, but you do have to register to purchase products on our Sites. When you register, you are asked for information such as your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, a password that you select, and your interests, if you choose to register them. Some of our operations, such as our electronic commerce, may be managed by Service Providers who are unaffiliated companies. If your purchases are being shipped to you, your shipping information will be shared with our delivery service provider (UPS). Our delivery service providers are asked not to use your Personal Information for any purpose other than making the delivery.

Sale of Business

In the event that Coway or some of our assets are sold or transferred or used as security, your Personal Information may be transferred to third parties as part of that transaction.

Disclosures of Personal Information in Legal Proceedings

If Coway or any of our Service Providers is requested by law enforcement officials or judicial authorities to provide Personal Information on individual users, Coway or the applicable Service Provider may, without your consent, provide such information. Secure Shopping

When you place orders on our Sites, all of your order information, including your card number and delivery address, is transmitted through the Internet using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. SSL technology causes your browser to encrypt your order information before transmitting it to our secure server. SSL technology, an industry standard, is designed to prevent someone other than operators of our Sites from capturing and viewing your Personal Information. Passwords
